Fabrics Used:  249 unique batik strips (from 7 packages of Hoffman Bali Pops) make up the 105 blocks and the borders, separated by black Kona cotton, and backed with Stonehenge "Topaz."

Diane Mitchell says, "I conceived of this idea back in August, 2010, when I saw a posting on Judy Niemeyer’s Facebook page, Quiltworx.com, offering to donate one of her quilts to the winner of a drawing of those who had made a charity quilt from one of her patterns.   I love to do paper piecing, I love working with batiks, and I love providing a quilt top to my friend Jennifer, so she can work her long-arm magic. I hope people enjoy looking at the finished product as much as I enjoyed making it.  And, yes, I won Judy’s quilt for my guild!"
